Casey A. Sack is an associate at Burns & Jain, LLC. Casey graduated from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 2020.
While in law school, Casey was heavily engaged in public interest work. She worked for the Federal Community Defender Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in the Capital Habeas Unit, advocating on behalf of death sentenced prisoners in post-conviction proceedings. Casey also interned for the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Villanova Law Institute to Address Commercial Sexual Exploitation. She served in two positions as a research assistant, during which she was copy editor of Criminal Law & Philosophy, a multidisciplinary, international law journal. She also worked as a law clerk in civil litigation, participating in mediations, trial preparation, and appellate matters. Upon graduation, Casey was awarded the Dorothy Day Award for Pro Bono Service, acknowledging her work throughout law school on behalf of the disenfranchised. Prior to law school, Casey worked for five years as a litigation paralegal in New York City.
Casey was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in 2021. Her admission is pending in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
